Whynter sno portable ice maker

NweEgg must realize how poor this product is because their policy makes it inelegible for return. Cons: I purchased this unit from NewEgg. After getting the original unit replaced because it was defective out of the box. It start displaying similar signs of not taking water into the unit then went completely defective by overflowing. The unit keeps taking in water when not necessary there by draining all the water out of a five gallon bottle displacing the contents on counter top and floor.

When I asked for a full refund for this defective unit, my request was denied by NewEgg. These ice makers should not be marketeted until a working unit can be shipped. Pros: Probably the easiest appliance I have ever used. Insert the water bottle plug it in, wait while for the ice to be made and you're in business.

It's a smart machine and tries to tell you if something is off. Take the time to understand the alerts. Very sharp looking item, almost too sophisticated for my sparse kitchen for now. Cons: It's very compact in size and I guess the trade-off is the weight packed into it. Other than that I'm very satisfied with it. Love Amazon - the Whynter is a poorly designed product. What a great product. We have a house full of ice eaters and the refrigerator just couldn't keep up. This makes ice and makes it fast. This is a great handy machine.
