She remained a teacher for more than three years before deciding to push for other things. While in Afikpo Teachers Training College, Mama Gee had a literature teacher who taught her and a number of other students drama, and then made them present a single play each semester.

And since other schools used to pay to watch Hamlet, she became extremely popular among students during her college life. Before getting into the film industry, she did a commercial with Pete Eneh that moved Chief Zebrudaya and a number of other Nollywood directors, as well.

It was then that she was asked to get into film, but she refused because one she felt the film industry would give her superfluous exposure and two she was extremely shy. After several attempts of failed persuasion, they eventually managed to pull her to Nollywood. Patience Ozokwor first movie came in By then, she was already a national star in Nigeria. Patience has played different roles in over Nollywood movies. Mama Gee has three biological children and five adopted ones who all bear her name.

As reported by her children, she is a very caring and proud mother. She has a son who played for Enugu Rangers before moving to Turkey to play football. Mama Gee was at some point a renowned radio presenter. She was employed as an announcer with FRCN Enugu but was unfortunately retrenched when the State closed down all the medium wave band stations.

Patience Ozokwor later went into business. Patience Ozokwor got married immediately after finishing school she unfortunately lost her husband a few years ago to a terminal illness. She is blessed with three biological children, two sons and a daughter and an adopted child.

Patience Ozokwor grew up in Enugu State in the south eastern part of Nigeria, where she completed her primary school education and obtained her First School Leaving Certificate.

After completing her secondary school education and obtaining her West African Senior School Certificate, Patience Ozokwor got married at the age of 19 years old. Patience Ozokwor left her teaching job and moved on to radio broadcasting, where she worked as a radio presenter and newscaster. She worked at the station until it was closed down. She went on to another broadcasting facility where she began to do radio drama.

After featuring in several radio drama programs, Patience Ozokwor decided to open a training school to help young female school dropouts start a business of their choice. She taught the girls how to make hair and skin care.

The project was sponsored by the Enugu state government. Due to her humanitarian services she was politically appointed as the assistant to the wife of the Mayor of her local government in Enugu State, Nigeria.
