Marketing marketing. Crowded enough anyway. Fantastic location for beach lovers - quite outstanding.
Plenty of other things to do. Very clean and a great bus service. I'm told it gets exceptionally busy July and August but quite quiet out of high season. As it was October, most places were closed, and the apartments are isolated, you need a car or to like walking. The beach is a must for children. The apartment was quiet, although in season I imagine noisy. It's location made it easy by car to travel to Ayemonte for shopping which was fabulous. Isla Canela is a laid back resort with a lovely marina on one side and fabulous beach with beach bars on the other side.
Also a short walk to typical working Spanish fishing village. Local bus goes to nearby town of Ayamonte with shops and bars and retaurants and an old square. Ferry to Portugal leaves from there. Ferry ride to Isla Christina from Isla Canela. The hotel commodities were amazing despite no jacuzzi available due to covid restrictions.
Large pool and tons of chair to be on the sun. The breakfast is really good with a lot to offer. The room had the right amount of size, the balcony was huge. The snack bar was really good. Pleasant hotel. They managed the COVID situation well when dining by giving you a time to go for breakfast so spacing people out.
So did not get overcrowded at breakfast. Isla Canela is a small place with a harbor and a few restaurantes. Ok for a few days. Perfect setting at beach. Friendly staff. Specially requested and got a quiet room. Hotel is great but not our kind of accommodation We stayed on breakfast base only. Nice restaurants in harbor. We chose this hotel because of the location as we needed to be near the Portuguese border and not because of the golf. The staff were friendly and polite and the food was very good.
